The community feeling is the best thing about being at Vale of York Academy – everyone helps everyone. The teachers help the students but also the students help other students which I think is really nice. Being deputy head girl is quite a big role within the school and I’m a prefect too, so I have quite a few duties. The skills I have learned through taking on these roles include teamwork, how to communicate with others, and how to lead people. I know these skills will help me in the future if I have to manage a team.
The teachers here are great, they can never to do enough for you. They’re always helping you and they make sure you do your best for yourself.
